Maca Muta restaurant is located within the small medieval village of Compignano, on the Martani hills. The town stands on an ancient medieval castle, built on a hill from where you can enjoy a sinuous and gentle hilly landscape characterized by olive groves.
The old building that host the restaurant has been masterfully renovated while maintaining the link between past and present, between tradition and contemporaneity . Outside, the garden overlooks the village and more specifically the ancient bell tower, which was also renovated by the Augusto Coli Foundation.
Maca Muta project is an extension of the Augusto Coli Foundation, which supports the importance of the territory also through the production of extra virgin olive oil from the Cum Gratia oil mill. Oil which is also one of the main charachter of the restaurant’s dishes, whose young management has perfectly known how to interpret tradition by proposing in its menus refined dishes but strictly cooked with the products that this territory produces. The wine cellar reflects the same principle, including many labels from the region.
