There are two main crafts that bask in their own light in the Lake Trasimeno area: stone working and lace making. The business owned by Giulio and Mauro Borgia belong to this first category, a direct consequence of the extraction of this material from the quarries found in the territory. Used mainly in construction and in the creation of artistic objects, this is an example of how an area’s resources and human ingenuity can give rise to a true “genius loci”, representing the pervading spirit of this place.
