In Castelbuono di Bevagna, in Piazzetta della Pace square, a storeroom-workshop serves as the creative home of Andrew Stevenson. A sculptor, painter and poet that describes himself as a “European born in London”. A person that chose to live in this corner of Umbria for its fascinating landscape and the wood he works with. Cherry, oak and elm, even if for him the king of woods is walnut. Olive tree trunks and branches are ideal for representing long-haired women. In fact, the subjects of his works are people and animals, a winning compromise between his vision and the lines of the wood that must be followed.
