CLARICI FARM FOLIGNO
While certainly not an easy enterprise, the result was excellent and, most importantly, has continued on for an impressive four generations. It all started in the 19th century with Pietro and Domenico Clarici, when they planted olive trees on the eastern hills of Foligno, building an oil mill in the city’s historic centre where they produced extra virgin olive oil of the highest quality, destined for the most demanding palates. Today, nothing has changed in terms of the traditional productionmethods and the wholesomeness of the product. Nor has the name of the company’s current owner, Pier Domenico, a combination of the names of the two pioneering olive growers in Umbria. And their children? Of course they have continued to lend their ancestor’s voice to the land.
