Sculpting, like painting, is a woman: sweet and sentimental, capricious and sensual. Franco Prosperi’s works, full of humanity and mysticism, speak the same enchanting language. In Assisi, the works of this artist, who also happens to be the son of an artist, are on view in his popular studio and museum where sculptures are positioned on the trunks olive trees. A former professor of art history, Franco Prosperi nourishes his unique and personal iconographic vision of the outside world using narrative elements and elaborate depictions rooted in various historic periods.
