Valuable piece of Orvieto “Underground”, the Pozzo della Cava is a set of caves, artifacts and … twenty-seven centuries of history. Entirely excavated in the tuff rock which characterizes the cliff, is thirty-six meters deep, the last of which were occupied by the water source. An incredible labyrinth of furnaces, tombs and Etruscan ruins, medieval finds and courtyards. “A well of history”, so to speak.
