MONTECCHIO RICCI ALESSANDRO FARM
In the hidden village of Montecchio, in the province of Terni, a town of rare beauty, just a few kilometres from the renowned city of Orvieto, you will find the Ricci Farm, a family-run business that has handed down their knowledge of the production of DOP Umbria extra virgin olive oil from Orvieto hills for generations. In 1994 Giovanni and hi son Alessandro decided to expand the business by making additional investments in the Montecchio countryside. They purchased several olive groves and opened an oil mill with a welcoming tasting room featuring a large fireplace in the centre. Today, the Ricci family’s production in ensured by over 5000 trees of Moraiolo olives and just as many Leccino, in addition to the Frantoio variety.
