Rastrello – Cucina & Giardino is located in the characteristic village of Panicale overlooking Lake Trasimeno. This Umbrian hemlet lies on the western border of the region, whose luxuriant vegetation of cypresses contributes to the famous denomination of “green heart” of the region.
Opened in September 2020, the building has been beautifully renovated while maintaining the original splendor of a medieval palace. Although located inside the Boutique Hotel, the restaurant welcomes not just hotel guests but also general public, allowing everyone to enjoy a unique meeting place. The restaurant has a panoramic terraced garden with breathtaking views of Lake Trasimeno as well as a more intimate and welcoming interior space for the winter months.
The goal is to offer a place where Panicalesi, guests and visitors can meet, enjoy and appreciate the way of living and understanding hospitality. A place where, at sunset, you can enjoy an appetizer or a dinner in a refined setting.
Menus created by Chef Nicola Fanfani are closely linked to the territory and its products. Exactly for this reason the menu follows the seasonality of each ingredient, many of which are collected daily directly from the gardens of Rastrello farm. The excellence on the table is enhanced by the use of our own organic DOP extra virgin olive oil, called “Rastrello”, winner of many national and international awards. Even the wine list, beers and cocktails reflect this choice: the wineries on the menu are local; the beers are all Umbrian and artisanal; cocktails are changed monthly depending on the herbs available in a given season. The same attention to sustainability and product quality can be found with the brunch menu, served every Sunday.
