Pike has always been, since time remembered, a species that has lived in Lake Trasimeno, whose presence is periodically increased by restocking. This fresh water fish has an unmistakable silhouette, characteristic for its formidable teeth, situated in a strong, wide and concave throat. The eyes, not large, are located a bit higher to allow the pike to see in every direction. Young pike are more vividly coloured while during the reproduction phase they have a bronze-copper sheen.
